Writers strike boosts video game usage by 26%

The online survey, which sampled an unnamed number of respondents ages 18-49, found that 43 percent of Americans are watching more DVDs. Another 26 percent say they are spending more time playing video games.

Additionally, the study found that 94 percent of Americans are aware of the Hollywood writers strike, which has largely put a stop to new episodes, programs and movie screenwriting.
